Officers on patrol stopped a robbery in progress and arrested two suspects about 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the first block of Richmond Avenue, Buffalo Police reported.

Apprehended after a short chase and charged with first-degree robbery and obstructing governmental administration were Keon Walker and Lester Santiago, no ages or addresses given.

Police said the robbery victim told them the two suspects asked him for a ride and when he parked the car, one of them pulled a knife and demanded his keys, money and phone.

The victim tried to run away, according to the police report, but was caught at Richmond Avenue and Summer Street, where he was being punched and kicked when officers drove up. From the Bflo News
